    "Social networking for foodies"

Being someone who loves to cook, I already use armfuls of cooking apps. Fast making its way to the top is SideChef: the app that makes an amateur like me feel like a pro. It boasts a strong community of top chefs, bloggers and foodies offering over 1000 recipes.

It works like a a social networking app. You can follow your favorite chefs and ask them questions, and become something of a celebrity yourself: the more recipes you upload, the more popular you become. Before you know it, you may end up on the Featured Chefs page.

But the primary goal is to actually teach you to cook and improve. SideChef really leads the way in step-by-step cooking, helping you master the art with voice, photo and video (took a while buffering) instructions. It also responds to voice command, keeping your device clean of sticky cooking hands.

Added to all manner of extras - smart keyword searching, integrated timers, the My Table journal feature, a converter, shopping lists shareable by email - there's lots to love. A bright, user-friendly and highly recommended cooking tool.

For a cooking app, SideChef has many useful options hiding behind the simplicity. However: 1) I would like the option to switch to metric. Actually, I would like to have any measurement at all. What do you mean by '9 beef'? 2) At first, I had no clue how to get to the recipes I added to my meal plan. A quick and intuitive way to find saved recipes is key. 3) Scrolling through recipes and then suddenly no more recipes, only articles. Again, confusing. 4) "30 mins recipes" - not all of them take 30 minutes if you count prep. I suggest making a category "30 min or less", putting these into one would be useful in my opinion. Besides that, really neat app.

Great app with lots of interesting ideas, how ever there is a bug with the filter selection that needs to be fixed.

It would be 5 stars if it included one feature: nutritional information for every recipe. Just include the protein, carb and fat quantities for every recipe and it would be perfect
