As you may know the Echo is a wireless speaker/voice command tool. This is Amazon’s first try into the wild west of home automation and smart home technology. This is a hands-free speaker you control with your voice. The device is a cylinder a little over three inches wide, a little over nine inches tall, and features a powerful speaker coupled with a circular array of seven microphones designed to listen for the Echo’s “wake word” and respond to your commands. The device connects to the voice-controlled intelligent personal assistant service Alexa, which responds to the name "Alexa".

Using Amazon echo, you can try a lot of things like:

    # Plays all your music from Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, and more using just your voice.
    # Fills the room with immersive, 360º omni-directional audio.
    # This device allows hands-free convenience with voice-control.
    # Alexa can hears you from across the room with far-field voice recognition, even while music is playing.
    # It can answers questions, reads the news, reports traffic and weather, reads audiobooks from Audible, gives info on local businesses, provides sports scores and schedules, and more using the Alexa Voice Service.
    # You can controls lights, fans, switches, thermostats, garage doors, sprinklers, locks, and more with compatible connected devices from WeMo, Philips Hue, Samsung SmartThings, Nest, and others using your Echo or Echo Dot.
    # This Alexa, the virtual assistant always getting smarter and adding new features, plus thousands of skills like Uber, Domino's, and more.
