Waddle is a private, social networking app for Universities. This is the ONLY social network platform that allow Students, Faculty and Staff, and Alumni to collaborate on, separately and privately. Here are the main features:
-3 Private Networks, 1 Campus-
Not only a private network for students, faculty/staff and alumni will also have their own private network to communicate, post, and socialize in.
Based on shared interests in Majors, Organizations, and Sports, these Shared Networks allow anyone, regardless of the private network they are in, to communicate and share information. You can manage who can join your Organization’s network. Any member can approve or reject a new request without the need of an admin. Once a request has been approved, the new member can view and post to the Organization’s wall.
News curated by trending hashtags and search words added by you and your campus. Upvote and downvote your choices or add your own and the top trending words will create the current buzz coming from your campus.
-Chat with Temporary Messages-
Interact with Waddle friends with the built-in chat and group chat. Send temporary texts or images to your friends that automatically deletes itself after the timer runs out.
-See What’s Going On Close-by-
You can view posts from other Waddle users and see what’s going on nearby. You can see who is saying and seeing what in real time. This Nearby feature filters posts by GPS location, a function that requires the persistent use of real-time location updates while the app is in the background.
Get alerts about local deals, upcoming events, or even a textbook you need that is for sale based on targeted advertising by businesses, organizations, and students. These ads will be shown separately from your social wall alongside your notifications.
-Social Media Integration-
Integrate Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts and stay connected with friends without leaving Waddle. Make a status update, re-tweet, like, share posts, and make comments. Note: We are limited to what is available from the other social networks.
Create a group, add your connected social contacts, and see what they are posting in a customized timeline. For example, keep updated with other college friends, family members, and celebrities you follow, regardless of what social network they are on.
*Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.*
