First ride is Free! Enjoy a friendly & affordable ride with Waze Carpool. Join a neighbor who will pick you up on their way to work. Easy and convenient for everyone!

    How does Waze Carpool work?
Ask for a ride in advance and we’ll notify you when a Wazer along your route has offered to pick you up. Once the ride is set, all you have to do is show up on time, ready to go!

    How much does it cost?
Riders help cover the cost of gas in exchange for a ride. Payment is transferred automatically upon drop-off.

    Who’s driving?
Your driver is an everyday Wazer with a similar commute planned, who would be taking the trip anyway. Pairing up means one less car on the road - great! See the driver's profile to view verified information, number of rides given, and 'thanks' received from previous riders. When a trip is set, you can message in-app before pickup. Many drivers and riders even choose to drive together again.

I don't like the app drop location making me walk 3-5 minutes. Why can't it PU and drop at address requested

I like it when it works. Nice to get $16 a day in gas/car maintenance money on a route I already drive. I wish I could get some reimbursement when I drive out of my way and the rider is a no-show. Waste of time and gas. As a rider, I have a crippling fear of getting stranded when a driver cancels and I have to pay for a $50 uber home. Needs more people using it.

Lack of clarification as to when you will actually get picked up as the driver could be 30 minutes away at the time youre supposed to be picked up

Great commute alternative to higher priced ride share apps
