An arcade shooter in the style of Galaga, Galaxian, etc.

This game is a personal testbed for the 2D framework I am working on as a plugin for jMonkeyEngine 3. It is part of the tonegodGUI plugin available through the jMonkeyEngine 3 SDK > Options > Plugins.

Be kind, as this is a free app, will always be a free app and is intentionally added as so to give me the opportunity to learn the process of adding/updating apps on the Google Play Store and potentially get feedback from other with devices I do not personally have access to.

Will your framework be like Allegro engine? It is hard to control in portrait, may be the movement could be handled thru accelerometer? The hit box of menu options are too small. The rocket never hits the bugs.

Brings back some memories of the old ZX 48k games I loved. well done. just to note though...the control pad/joy stick thing is sticky and slow to respond on the S4 and the tap tap tap tap tap needed to shoot makes playing for more then a few mins almost painful. That said still a fun game. keep it up lass.

@Robin Timms Thanks so much for taking the time to give me some feedback. It's the first game I have put together using the 2D Framework I added to the GUI library I wrote for JME. I'll definitely see if I can rearrange the layout a bit to try and get the controls out of the way. The original game was written for the desktop and I added the Virtual Joystick and Buttons after the fact and the s

This is a very good game, but I feel it is slightly let down by the direction control which by using your thumb on the screen, does take up a small part of the screen which is enough to not being able to see all the bullets which are all over the place, making me lose a life.
