A polished combat system and a deep storyline make Final Fantasy Tactics: WOTL a must-have for fans of the original or for any RPG fan

    • Stunning visuals and music
    • Combat system intact
    • Game crashes on save
    • No third-party controller support

"A Classic Strategy RPG Game Revived"

Final Fantasy: War of the Lions, Square Enix’s port of the hit 1997 Playstation game, is a turn-based strategy RPG available on iOS and Android. Take control of Ramza and his band of heroes as you travel through Ivalice, a world torn apart by civil war. Choose your characters’ weapons and jobs as you battle against a range of enemies on grid-based maps in a deep story full of twists that will keep you guessing who’s who.

The game’s music and visuals are truly stunning for a mobile app. The classic combat system remains intact, with plenty to do and plenty to see in-battle. Square Enix has also ported the changes made in the 2007 PSP version, such as new jobs, scenarios, and movies.

There is no third-party controller support, meaning touch controls take some getting used to if you’re played the console or PSP counterpart. Final Fantasy Tactics sometimes crashes when you attempt to save your game.

One of my favorites. Although I'd really like to ask, Is it possible to make it so you can play through again with all your abilities?

If you enjoy terrible mechanics and constantly being incapable of using buffs, healing and other useful things because somehow your hit percentage is either always low or misses on high percentage chances and enjoy being frustrated by the inability to select the right square or text box... this game is for you.

great game, ruined by constant crashing. I've been stuck on one battle as it always crashes in the middle of it.

Probably the best strategy turn based game ever made. I played it on psone back in the day. This is just as good and the touch controls work really well. There were a couple maps where it required a few extra rotations to be able to select a tile with the touch screen, but it didn't cause more than some mild annoyance. Overall, I love this game and it's the best port I've played for android.
