Game of War - Fire Age

Real time strategy games have been quite unlucky in mobile gaming so far, but fortunately there are always exceptions. Game of War is quite engaging and fun, but it could be more engaging and more fun. Perhaps not that fun as to lure non-usual action game players, but at least as to not disappoint gamers liking this kind of stuff.

Graphics are definitively above average. Gameplay can feel slow, very slow, especially in the first hours of play, and even slower later when your empire runs on its own. It's a game to be played now and then for the next months, and surely its bigger flaw is how discouraging it is.

In the end, if you like those Facebook games about "rise your empire" and so, that's what you'll get here. A mechanical and repetitive game that becomes boring once you've unlocked all the buildings (and realize you will be eventually razed because there'll always be someone more powerful than you whose cost of attacking you is lower than the benefit it'll have).

Therefore, above average, but recommended only for hardcore mobile strategy fans.
