A fun, free app for learning the basics of piano

    • Free!
    • A nice, ecclectic mix of songs to choose from
    • Youtube videos with demos on how to play songs
    • Lots of intrusive adverts
• No recording or sharing options
    • Difficult to hit just the notes you want (keys are too slim)

    "Tinkle on those ivories"

Mini Piano is a fun way of learning how to tinkle on those ivories. Choose from a selection of songs to play or go freestyle.

The list of songs is eclectic, with hits from Elvis, Bach and Justin Bieber. On the lower half of the screen you have your keyboard, while above falling dots indicate which keys to play. Selected songs link to a Youtube video where you can watch a demo of how to play.

The UI is very simple, but there are a few flaws. You’ll notice with free play that multi-fingering is not really an option. My fingers aren’t particularly fat, but I found that it was difficult to tap a key without hitting another too.

The app would be improved by allowing you to record your tunes and share them. It would also benefit from less intrusive adverts and more customization options, like different effects and backing tracks.

Mini Piano is the easiest way to play piano - you can play with your eyes closed. Just tap anywhere on the piano to play the next note or notes in the song. All you have to do is to handle the timing. You can play fast or slow.

You can even learn how to play cool and popular songs!

Mini Piano comes with free songs such as: Amazing Grace, Alouette, Bad Romance, Hallelujah, Just Give Me a Reason, Numb, Let Her Go, Try and many more.

    Play songs from different artists.

    It's fun, it's magical, it's FREE!
