Skullgirls's review

Skullgirl retains the classic cartoony fighting charm of its PC counterpart

    • Excellent hand-drawn visuals
    • Awesome soundtrack to keep you pumped
    • Simple, fun, challenging, and very addicting
    • Complete and deep fighting experience
    • Requires a newer and powerful device
    • Needs a constant and consistent internet connection
    • Strong push to spend real money
    • Unfair AI difficulty

    "A true fighting gem"

Looking for a way to vent your frustrations? Why not beat up on hand-drawn cartoony characters? In Skullgirls for iOS and Android devices, after forming your three-member team, you’ll take turns crushing your opponent through a series of fighting moves and special abilities. Once in a match, tap to perform a basic attack, swipe to the right to do a dash attack, and swipe to the left to evade attacks. To block, simply tap and hold on the screen with two fingers. In the game’s story mode, you’ll take on AI, but in Prize Fights, take down real-world opponents.

As a console fighting fanatic, right from the get-go, I was impressed not only by how easy it is to jump into this fighting game, but also how deep it truly was, and along with excellent hand-drawn visuals and an awesome soundtrack, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a true mobile equivalent.

To get started with Skullgirls, you’ll not only need a newer and very powerful device, but you’ll also need to maintain a consistent and constant internet connection. Plus, you’ll have to deal with the strong push to pay up and some unfair AI difficulty balance issues.

I love the game, and easy to play but would really love they have more characters since I play this game in the ps3 there are a few characters missing. Hopefully the do an update to have them.

The game is good and I would recommend it but the one bad thing is that there is no way to move freely and that would in my opinion make it a lot less hard to get used to.
