Don't bother with the other so-called OpenVPN apps to be found in Google Play Store. This is the official open source app that you need. Brilliantly - virtually flawlessly - designed by Arne Schwabe from Germany; OpenVPN for Android is by far the most private & secure OpenVPN app available. Its only 'flaw' is that it requires you to be reasonably tech-savvy. Having said that, please DON'T let that put you off using it! I managed to manually configure an OpenVPN-UDP connection to London, UK, without the process being overly complicated or burdensome. And by no means am I some kind of tech-savvy guru. (E.g. - I've only just found out what IMEI means; and also what the difference is between the UDP and TCP protocols; etc). Btw, my setup worked too - I was able to gain access to BBC iPlayer from Australia! ? ? As long as you have the correct configuration/certificate file (or files); and are able to import the file (or files) successfully, then anyone should be able to manually configure an OpenVPN connection to the server of their choice.
