Simple Dialer Widget helps you save some time by placing a dial pad widget in your device homescreen

    • Time-saving
    • Highly customizable
    • Re-sizeable
    • Nothing special

    "Time-saving widget"

Actually, it's more than a simple dial-pad: it's a homescreen widget for the built-in dial Android app which gives you access to the dial-pad, last calling log and phonebook. Yes, you're just saving one tap if you have the dial shortcut in your dock, however, one tap from here, another one from there... it sums lots of worthy seconds you can spend doing other stuff.

Placing it in your homescreen is quite easy: long-press on homescreen, tap on widgets and select "Simple Dialer Widget". Widget preferences menu will show up. From there you can customize the widget: basically color, font size and tabs. Just to name some of the options: header background color, icon color, call icon color, dialer call icon size, show/hide cotacts tab, call log tab, set date format, text size and number of entries on the call log.

Although the widget should be enhanced regarding smoothness, for example, when switching from one tab to another or when dialing; it works quite good. A time-saving solution that shows why any mobile OS should include a homescreen and widgets feature.

Place phone calls from your home screen without opening the dialer app!

The widget offers a dial pad, shows your call log or all your contacts. The widget is resizeable and the log and contacts tab are scrollable too.
Also, you can fully customize the widget (change every color, text size, ...) and put the widget on your Lockscreen (later requires Android 4.2, I recommend to disable the "dialer"-tab when placing the widget on the lockscreen)

If I can't a "simple" widget to work in 30 minutes it will be uninstalled. Apparently MYCOLORSCREENs website link is dead so there is no support whatsoever. BYE

I like that you can actually put this dialer on your front screen and dial directly from it, However, half the time I start entering the phone number , and it loses focus ...and the phone decides not to listen to my input ...Thereby messing up the phone number I was dialing, and making me call a wrong number! many times! Every time you dial a phone number you have to read it back to yourself to make sure it's what you intended to put in or you will mess up half the time

When I don't want contact pictures, could you remove the empty area in front contact names?

Interesting app, needs some improvement. Quick and convienent having dialer as a page on home screens. Enjoy the level of customization - color, font size, level of transparency. Would like to see swipe actions introduced (helpful for those with larger phones, just more convenient than top selection bar). Could swipe for Favorites, Contacts, Call Log or Groups. Dialing/deleting numbers locks my Moto G5 Plus and puts it to sleep. Interesting in a bad way, what's up with that???
