Sprint IP Relay is a free app available for people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind, or have a speech disability to place relay calls and communicate using text on Android devices running 4.0.3 or later. Connect with a qualified relay operator via Sprint IP Relay. Features include integrated contact list, call history, and access to live customer service. Available only in USA and US territories. International calls will either be blocked or terminated. Registration is required to use this app. If no data plan service selected, casual data charges may apply. Learn more at www.sprintip.com. Although Sprint IP Relay can be used for emergency calling, such emergency calling may not function the same as traditional 911/E911 services.     I would like to set up SprintIp as a default calling app on my phone; however, the app does not identify as a calling app. ( IT does not appear on the list of apps that can be used for calling) please add this ID to the app so we can set it up as a default calling app in our devices. It would be so helpful. In addition, there are intermittent times when my received calls will not notify of incoming ( ring or light up) on my phone. I will however get an email message stating that I missed a call. I have checked all my settings and my phone notifications and there is nothing wrong with my settings. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't! I also agree with one of the reviews below. Many not all operators are getting lazy. Not relaying recordings, saying answering machines hanging up. I often have them redial to leave my message. Slower msg relays as if they are trying to figure out how to spell. Many typing errors. In addition, I have had short conversations where the operator was switched 3 times causing a miscommunication. It would be nice if service would improve as opposed to deteriorating. I am thankful that we have a method of communicating but I just wish that operators new how important this is to us.

    Frequently getting lazy operators that tell me business is closed or line is busy, but when I call the number myself on my cell phone, the place is not closed or I actually know the hours and know it is not closed. They also seem to dislike typing out recording menus, seems like they only want to get a live. It used to be a great quick way to take care of business when I didn't feel like wearing my hearing aid on my cell phone, but the reasons above are getting tiresome.
