"Fear? You don't know a thing about fear"

Similar to UNHCR's My life as a refugee, this game lets us to choice between Hani and Shamaan, a man and a woman living in some unspecified country when their village is pillaged and destroyed by unlegitimate rebel forces. Then it starts a macabre plight and pilgrimage in order to survive. Every time, you'll face a critical choice to make whose resolution depends your life.

Every scene comes with great artwork. As we said on the 'original' international game, this version by the Australian Red Cross is absolutely recommended for anyone, teens included. Whatever to raise awareness and, if you feel the need to do so, scratch a donation.

Follow Hani or Samaan as their Somali village is destroyed and they are forced to flee. Make decisions such as joining the rebels, stealing water from a village or asking for help from a people smuggler; would you survive?

Each year, millions of people are forced to flee their homes for fear of persecution due to their race, religion, nationality, social background or their political opinions. Find out what happens in ‘And then I was a refugee...’.
