    THE VERDICT

Runners and cyclists are massive fans of the the Strava app, and it’s clear to see why. Whether you're competing with yourself for a new personal best, or vying against strangers who are quicker than you, Strava brings the competition home. A great interface and strong community make this app truly worth it.

    THE PROS

Strava has a truly simple interface. Example: if you want to switch between running or cycling, tap on the bicycle or shoe icon at the top and you’re there. It really is that easy.

GPS and mapping are super accurate, and Strava easily records your running and cycling data, comparing you with others hassle free. This community of other users is one of the app’s strongest assets, and a great motivator for competitive types.

It also supports Bluetooth and ANT devices, such as heart rate monitors. All-in-all, a thoroughly ‘freemium’ app.

    THE CONS

Privacy could be a little better explained and protected: in-app privacy controls are limited. Goal tracking is also restricted to Premium members.

Great. Cannot scroll share options. Only first image of map. I see another option starting below but can't access.

Been using Strava for couple of years now, primarily for walks. The most recent update has caused some problems that brings me to write this review. A 5km walk was recorded as 1+ km. And today app crashed couple of times during my walk. All this after yesterday's update. Was working mostly perfectly before this. In addition I would like to see some improvements like I would love to be able to edit the path taken as sometime mobile data network issues causes it to show a much longer/shorter route as compared to what was actually taken. Also I'd like to see some basic analytics provided for free as in total miles covered in a week, month or year. Also is it possible for me to download my data to be able to run some analytics on it?

Kinda hard to use... You can't just stop recording activity and cancel you have to save it, publish and then delete it. Also, GPS not really accurate, takes a spot A and spot B and connects them with streight line. First I tought it was because of the battery saver, when I turned off the saver the same problem continued. AND WATCH OUT, they will rip you off for $10 a month if you don't cancel the subscription in google play settings.

Using it fo a year and was great until 1.5 month ago providing inaccurate reading and exorbitant speeds. It seems it goes on and off and get wrong calculations. I uninstalled couple of times, but still pretty bad. Any intention to fix this? Probably not after so long. Well something better will come so we can change.

Great app. One thing I would love to see on the next update.. search function. I can search for old rides on my computer, why not on the app ?
