    Yoga nidra is "sleeping yoga" - the idea is that you can receive all the calming benefits of yoga even whilst asleep. Spreebytes' Yoga Nidra Meditation app will guide you through sessions of this kind of yoga through soothing audio files.

    Get comfortable and follow the relaxation instructions given by the female voice in the audio. Either listen to her on her own, or add in whatever background music you like from your device on loop. You can also choose whether to have a bell at the end or not; if you're planning on falling asleep, you may want to turn this option off.

    The free version includes a 7-minute long guided meditation; the premium version includes longer audio files for extended sessions.

    Perfect introduction to Yoga Nidra or a quick dose if you are used to longer sessions. I have been using this app now for years. One issue I have noticed lately, though, is that for the 17 min and 28 min sessions you have to keep going to the market place to open the app. It's a little annoying but isn't stopping me using and enjoying the app. X

    I found a couple of better yoga nidra sessions on line that were 40-55 minutes long and more gentle and positive. This lady sounds to me like a more exacting iyengar practitioner, very crisp and precise, but sometimes you need a quick guided meditation and the 25 minutes one is real yoga nidra, 18 min ok, 7 minutes meh.
