Poll the world and give your opinion on a huge range of subjects, plenty political but including day-to-day personal insights as well

    • More political questions
    • Easy to create and track polls
    • Troll-free comments sections
    • Results broken down by demographics
    • Outdated design

    "Yay or nay?"

Show of Hands Polls & Politics is a popular, easy-to-use polling app that allows you to pick the brain of many different users around the world at once. Polls show up in a seemingly never-ending feed, prompting your fast feedback on whether or not you talk with your hands, or if you think five-year-olds should be allowed to carry handguns. Check out the results in great detail, broken down by demographics like gender, age, education, religion, and location (note that the audience seems to be heavily US-based). Submit your own polls and track their results.

This is the most politically oriented polling app I've come across, and it manages to bridge the gap between entertainment and seriously prompts for consideration. The comments section on each question appear by and large to be troll-free - let's keep it that way.

The design is outdated. If it were a more polished material design, the experience of using the app would overall be much smoother. I can envision a card-swiping yes-no system that would appeal much more to my sense of pleasing UI.

"Addicted! It's the only app I constantly use." -- Anonymous Show of Hander
Show of Hands is a smart and fun community polling platform for people who love burning questions! Answer new questions daily and see instant, real-time, anonymous results from fellow brilliant minds around the country. This information is broken down by age, religion, income, and more! (You can just think of us as your national level town hall.)

We're currently ramping up for election 2016 with polls surrounding politics and the issues our candidates are talking about. Come share your anonymous thoughts-- election 2016 is just around the corner! If you're not into politics, we have plenty of polls about other topics-- sandwiches, murder, puppies, relationships, the NBA Finals, and more! (What- we have a lot of interests!)

We have a work hard, play harder mentality in our question-asking: we ask the tough questions so that you can anonymously debate real world issues, and we ask the lighter questions because sometimes Mondays are just hard. We want you to think! Have you ever thought about if you would prefer to have wings or gills? What about your thoughts on if Hillary will win the 2016 election? Reach into the depths of your brains and have smart discussions about current events, national issues, global issues, and more. But don't forget to have fun! Nothing is off limits, and our community will help you level up your brain!

Do YOU have questions!? Have you ever been having drinks with friends-- or even just around the water cooler with coworkers-- and gotten their opinions and comments on something? Do you ever feel like their vote is just plain wrong?! (How could zombies NOT BE REAL?) Or not telling the whole truth!? (Please, everyone takes their phones into the bathroom.) Build an anonymous Show of Hands following and publish your own polls to test if your opinion is in the majority! Ask your own questions about politics, ethics, pop-culture, humor, sports, health, election 2016, news-- or anything else your brain can think of!

We challenge you to question everything!

It's a nice concept, but the app feels like it hasn't been updated in 8 years. But then, so does the website. My biggest problem is the notifications, or lack thereof. It will only show one at a time, so if you have a bunch of conversations going, it's super tedious.

I haven't actively used Show of Hands for a while. It used to be fun, but it eventually grew on me. If anything, I wish there was a way I could delete my account.

Some of the questions are fun, some of the questions only have a choice of answers that don't cover the basic possibilities and some are from political trolls of either side (Why do Trump followers always... or Why do Democrats always... because you know that they all think alike)
