Echo112 is a lifesaving smartphone app that sends your location to local emergency services, worldwide.

    How does it work?
    1. In case of emergency, you open the app. Echo112 will know which country you are in and will show you available emergency numbers
    2. You press the according button and call the emergency operator
    3. Your position is transmitted to the emergency operator who will be able to see where you are

    • No data? No problem: your location is sent by SMS
    • Display of nearby address and coordinates
    • Field tested by Swiss Emergency services for the last years, available worldwide
    • Test function

SMS in die USA. Spracheinstellung auf dem Handy en-US. Deutsche SIM, deutsches Netz, kein roaming. Demo Modus getestet mit Internet Zugang, hat hervorragend funktioniert. Plötzlich wird am nächsten Tag OHNE erneute Nutzung des Demo Modus eine SMS nach + 1 xxxxx (USA) versandt, inkl device ID. Idee hervorragend, Umsetzung fraglich.

I was charged the international rate for the demo mode text it seems so just to let people know as it dosn,t tell you that.Looks like a very good app and idea though.

Not compatible with my Samsung S6. But it is, with the Samsung S5 and S3, this makes no sense.

A good idea which will save lives. You have my respect for that. But seriously, that UI is just terrible and full of annoying alert dialogs. Makes me doubt that it actually would work in an emergency.
