The only radio station you'll ever need!
KFBC is Cheyenne's oldest and most respected radio station, a full service station for the local community. Over the last five years KFBC has won more awards for excellence from the Wyoming Association of Broadcasters (WAB) and the Associated Press (AP) than any other Wyoming radio station. These awards include AP Station of the Year (five years in a row), WAB Radio Station of the Year (twice), WAB Best News (twice), WAB Best Sports (6 of the last 10 years), AP Best Newscast (five times) and many more.
KFBC is one of the few stations in America still locally owned and operated. In 2010, KFBC celebrated 70 years of continuous service to southeastern Wyoming.
KFBC combines a strong, professional commitment to local news with an entertaining blend of both local programming and national talk shows such as Bryan Kilmeade, John Gibson, Mike Huckabee, Dennis Miller and Tom Sullivan. KFBC operates at one thousand watts 24 hours a day, serving Cheyenne and Laramie County with a population of approximately 80,000. KFBCs target audience is affluent adults between 25 and 65 years of age.
KFBC has Cheyenne's largest and most experienced news and sports team. News Director Reece Monaco and Sports Director Keith Kelley, along with veteran reporter Mick Birge, bring over 35 years of news and sports reporting experience to KFBC. Owner and General Manager Dave Montgomery and Program Director J. D. Harris add over 50 years of news and sports experience. KFBC is an affiliate of the ABC Information News network, Fox Sports and the Northern Ag Network.
KFBC is the flagship of the Cowboy State News Network, providing news and sports broadcasts throughout the day to over 30 of the most listened-to radio stations throughout Wyoming.
Each year KFBC carries hundreds of outstanding live sporting events including UW football and men's and women's basketball, Colorado Rockies Baseball, and the Denver Broncos. KFBC also broadcasts live high school sports, American Legion baseball, and LCCC basketball. Overnight KFBC carries sports talk live from the Fox Sports Radio Network.
