ArmAmp is an audio player that brings most used desktop players features to mobile

    • Equalizer
    • Lyrics finder (LyricWiki)
    • "Ban" or "Love" using
    • Basic screen widget
    • Multi-format support for audio file and playlists
    • Non-intuitive interface
    • Needs different size screen widgets
    • Lack of mobile native controls (gestures)

    "Feel da beat"

    This version is ad-free.

Most of mobile audio players focus on providing an easy-to-use interface in order to enhance the usability of the app. That's good, it enhances user's experience. However, that simplicity comes together with features' austerity too often. ArmAmp depicts the opposite: although it can be enhanced regarding design and usability, it's one of the most complete mobile audio players regarding features.

First off, it comes with multi-format support regarding both audio file and playlists format which favors importing user's list to its mobile device in a few taps. In addition, ArmAmp's got its own built-in browser for adding audio files located in device's SDcard or Samba Servers. Once your music is imported, you can start enjoying ArmAmp's basic and advanced features.

Let's start with basic features. ArmAmp allows you to shuffle and repeat songs/albums/artists, as well as sort library by artist, album, track number, filename, randomize or reverse. Folders and files can be bookmarked for a faster access. Playing controls are accessible from both the notification drawer and the app. It comes also with a 2x1 screen widget with "pause" and "next song" buttons. Different size screen widgets with advanced controls would enhance user's experience.

One of the most interesting ArmAmp advanced features is its equalizer. If you are one of those who like listening to music your own way, you can adjust audio parameters to each song or genre. Actually, you can save as many personal configurations as you like and load it whenever you want. You can even load equalizer genre presets (bass, classical, flat... up to 8).

In addition, it comes with a Lyrics finder powered by LyricWiki. It uses artist, album and song name to find out if there are lyrics available. Likewise, ArmAmp is fully integrated with which enables users of this service "Ban" or "Love" any song or album from their library ( account's required). Finally, lots of pro effects and audio parameters can be adjusted from settings: reverb, balance, speed, pitch, tempo, fade out, fade in... and many more.

ArmAmp is a mobile audio player recommended for audio connoisseurs. Amateurs will lose their way due to such amount of advanced features and a non-intuitive interface.

I have found annoying bug in SMB/CIFS implementation: after about each 30s or one minute of playback it gets dropout or second break. And it cannot be resolved by setting cache or any other way, no matter if lower bitrate oggs are played or flacs... Other players capable of LAN playback such as BSPlayer are working normally.

Loud enough, voices move around. I can use it with Suntouch Solstice IS1 and a defective louder right sound gaming headset.. But I need cleaner, clearer fuller sound, I don't know what gadgets are compatible with it.
