    Gigbeat - Concerts's review

Gigbeat tracks your device's music and shows you nearby concerts of your favorite artists

    • Simplicity
    • Great database of tour artist
    • and integration
    • Too sober layout
    • Lack of options

"Hey! Your favorite artist is jamming in your city!"

We have to recognize that this app is a great idea. It tracks the music stored on your device in order to find your favorite artist and then show you their tours. This way you can see when they're playing close to your city not to miss a concert. It will even notify you breaking news and any change on your favorite artists tours. If you don't have any music on your device, because you prefer to listen to it from the cloud, there's no problem: Gigbeat supports SongKick and accounts, what means that it will sync your playlist and bookmarks from these resources. The only flaw is that if you don't have an account on these resources and you're using other cloud music services, Gigbeat will do little. In order to fully enjoy this app we recommend you to create an account on Besides sync music you will be able to purcharse concert tickets from there.

Gigbeat's layout is quite simple: set in a black background and four pink tabs: artist, events, location and Mygigs. There's a search bar to find tour of any artist. Its simplicity makes it easy to get the hang of it in a few seconds. However, it would be good if they improved the layout and the amount of customization options.

Despite of that Gigbeat is a great idea that works pretty well (bear in mind that its database is constantly increasing). Developers: great job. Reccomendable.

Awful app. Do not install. Widget & app itself just says there aren't any gigs or events in my area. Brilliant.

This app never worked, not even once. Just force closing straight away. Nexus 6, Marshmallow.

Love this app but tends to crash a lot. When it has worked consistently it's great and would happily pay for it. Wish it could scan Google Play music as I don't use any of the others. High hopes for 2.0
