    THE VERDICT

Google Play Newsstand is an official Google app which lets its users read magazines and discover new content related to their interests. The first thing you've got to do is to choose the topics and publications that you want to receive info on, and then afterwards you can browse the app and find content which is current and personalized to you.

    THE PROS

The design of the app is clean and smart, with a nice, modern, sophisticated touch. The app also lets you add your own sources and search for topics to find new blogs or online magazines that could end up being essential reads on a daily basis.

    THE CONS

Google Play Newsstand doesn't offer us anything innovative and you're probably already using a similar service. But if that's not the case, then this could become a great tool to use daily to keep you up-to-date on the latest developments in whatever you're interest in.

Force closes all the time. The app itself is alright but when in a story the app often force closes. It may restart at the same location 75% of the time, but the rest of the time I'm back at the top and have to skim the stories to see where I left off, which is difficult as they're dynamically updated. Often I just give up and use Google Now.

Wish there were a way to block articles based on specific content, but not having it isn't a deal breaker.

Pretty good at picking the stories I'm interested in.
