A top-notch app to listen to podcasts and watch featured videos

    • Astounding neat and polished interface
    • Amount of sources
    • Smooth performance
    • Multi-device support and sync, including Chromecast
    • There's not trial version

    "Podcasts prefer Pocket Casts"

Things aren't happening anymore on your tele but on the Internet. Thousands of blogs, vblogs, video streaming channels, conferences... Cutting-edge info and entertainment resources are on the cloud waiting for you to watch and listen to. However, given the massive production is quite difficult following most of them. Pocket Casts makes it easier by providing an accessible layout where you may find, all together, worth-to-catch podcasts and featured videos.

A huge catalog of sources that release high-quality podcasts and videos on a daily/weekly basis. You can easily subscribe those channels you like the most and get notified when a new resource comes up. Listen to them directly from your smartphone or sync your account throughout different devices, including Chromecast. Yes, you can now mirror content and watch/listen to it directly from your TV. Your tele, re-invented and meeting your consuming demands.

You can download or stream content, sort episodes, mark as played/unplayed, share content and add content filters. Full-featured app.

Pocket Casts' interface is equally beautiful and intuitive. A Holo-style layout that makes it easy to navigate through and a smooth performance that makes you coming back over and over.

The only catch is that there's not a trial version and the price is over the average of what users are accustomed to pay. It's worth every cent though.

Excellent app. This is the best Podcast app on Android AND iOS! I have searched and tried most Podcast apps on both platforms and this is the most functional, easy to configure, and with cross platform sync. Feature request: - Crop Video or Pinch to crop for Galaxy Note 8/18:5 -Apple TV app PLEASE (I would definitely purchase that)

I've long been a fan of Pocketcasts. It looks great and is functionally up there with the very best. Animations are fluid, and the dark theme is fantastic at night. My main complaints with the app are: 1) battery usage, despite improvements being mentioned, is still fairly high. Podcast Addict uses much less over a long listening period. This is without any extra effect being used on either app. 2) support for premium podcast feeds really needs to be added. The workaround rarely works for me and it seems such an easy feature to implement.

The biggest problem with this application is that there is always trouble keeping track of where you were last in this podcast you have listened to and the ones you haven't listened to. I don't get why you have an account and you have to pay if the app won't keep track of what you have listened and you haven't. It tries to do it but something happens and it gets confused and what I listened and what I didn't listen to gets mixed up

It certainly looks better than Podcast Addict... however, there's tons of missing episodes. For example. Adding StarTalk Radio in Podcast Addict gives me 399 episodes, but adding in this app shows 99 episodes. Really disappointing.

My favorite podcast app by far. I use it across several devices and the web player every day.

I absolutely love this app and have been using it for over a year now. I would give it 5 stars, but I recently had to switch to a new phone and since then I've had some problems with it that I'd appreciate some help with. (1) The app only downloads podcast episodes if I keep the app open. If I go to my homescreen for example or turn my screen off it stops the download. This wasn't the case with my old phone, there it would just keep downloading them. Note: I only download over Wifi. (2) Sometimes when listening to an episode it randomly stops and won't keep playing even if I press play again. If I check the podcast episode again to see if it was fully downloaded it says "retry" beside it, even though when I downloaded it I watched it to make sure that it downloaded 100% of the file. Funnily enough I can sometimes skip ahead a couple of minutes and it keeps playing, so it seems like a part of the episode was corrupted. It usually works again if I delete and redownload the episode. (3) This one is super weird... Sometimes when playing an episode it would randomly play other podcast episodes instead of the one I'm listening to. And I don't mean that it just switched to another episode... For example: I would listen to "99% Invisible" but instead I would hear sounds from "TED Radio." Then after a few minutes it would switch back again to 99% Invisible.... I checked all my settings and I couldn't find any problems there. When I switched to my new phone I put in my old SD Card on which I saved my podcasts (I also have an account to sync my podcast subscriptions). So when I changed my storage settings to my SD Card on my new phone there was already a Pocket Casts folder, but I can't imagine that causing problems 2 & 3. I decided to uninstall Pocket Casts though and also delete all folders, and then re-install it. I still have problem 1. I haven't had time to check whether problem 2 and 3 are still there, so I'll update this review later. I would really appreciate a reply.
