    Texture – Digital Magazines's review

Texture brings the magazine newsstand to your device, featuring the latest issues and even a catalog of past issues

    • Organized UI
    • A lot of magazine categories
    • Mising key magazine features
    • Landscape mode is not standard

"Pick and read through top magazines"

For the avid magazine reader, or anyone looking to dive into new topics, Texture brings you magazine articles from just about any mainstream topic imaginable that are hitting shelves and newsstands, like cooking and current fashion trends. You’ll also find audio and video magazine exclusives. Texture also includes back issues so you can read articles published in previous dates. The first few magazines are free, but you’ll have the option to subscribe to continue reading and receiving more.

Texture organizes your reading material into an easy to navigate interface and lets you browse through magazine back issues quite easily. This app also doesn’t force you into a membership plan, letting you decide if you want to dive right in. There are a lot of categories and magazines to choose from.

Unlike other top magazine apps, you can’t bookmark, share articles with a friend, or even zoom in, forcing you to second-guess your subscription to this otherwise great magazine app. Landscape mode is not standard on all devices.

It has a really nice selection of magazines and I really like the spotlight features on various stories plucked from magazines that I don't even have added to my library (which is nice because you get exposed to some cool reading from sources not considered). I also like being able to save to collections I create! Very awesome because there are different categories I love to create that store things that inspire me visually, in work areas and so on. I look forward to getting notifications on new issues and really, I'm just pleased as heck!

Cumbersome, can save stories but printing to a pdf only gives one page. What good is that? Back issue availability for most magazines is good. Wish I could save content to a pdf to read for example on a plane. You can download issues but most of t he time I have been disappointed because the downloaded issue wouldn't open because it needed Wi-Fi. This makes downloaded issues almost worthless for travel. Wide scope of the app is not bad but it's pretty restrictive.
