    Description

I've made this app for real old school photographers or advanced amateurs shooting analog photography. I always give the first version for free without limitations, but improvements, new features and users requests are only made for the paid version. For the price of a soda you will support hundreds of hours of work and will get more features and improvements.

LightMeter's reflected light meter only works with devices that are able to save exif data. Incident light meter should work on any device, but it is usually insufficient for real photographers.

Be advised that the precission and quality of this and all phone light meters is limited by the device itself. I recommend using the reflected light option, the precission can be really good.

    Features:

-Incident light metering (needs light sensor)
-Reflected light metering (needs camera, only a few are compatible)
-Spot measure if camera has zoom.
-Support for all screens, including extra high resolution.
-Want more? get the noAds version, this one only gets bug fixes updates. And the noAds version gets real improvements like: Better performance than LightMeter Free, Camera sound can be muted. (not in all countries), Exif and sensor info on screen optionally, Incident light metering hold, Alternative ISO selector, State and ISO recall on resume, and much more as long as I keep getting downloads. Currently I'm getting support from 0.016% of the users. Thank you!

If you need help email me at davidquiles@me.com (Spanish and English)

App permissions: The app uses the standard permissions for an ad based app that uses the camera and light sensor. There is plenty of info about this on google search so you can check. AdMob is used.

    Thanks for your support

Brilliant. Works well enough, in comparison to all my digital cameras, that I would trust it for my old manual film cameras. Purchase no-add version to support author.

This app would benefit from the useful feature of saving the settings. For a film camera you use the same ISO value for at least 36 shots. Seems counter intuitive to set the ISO each time you take a measurement.

Beautifully executed. The app is presented similar to an old handheld Westonmaster style light meter, familiar to old pro's like myself brought up on meterless manual cameras. The Incident light mode worked well: press the top right I : R button so that the white dome appears. Hold the phone so that the screen and selfie camera face the sky. The Meter offers shutter/aperture settings for whatever iso you select. When the centre dome instead shows a monochome window the meter is in reflective light mode. Unfortunately this doesn't work for many phone models, including my Moto G3. Compatible phones are listed in the description. A reflected light scene with average tonality will usually give similar readings to what you'd get standing 'in' the scene using Incident light mode. On my incompatible MotoG3 the settings offered would be greatly overexposed. It's a shame but even so, with a real meter I'd usually make do with just an incident light reading. As an incident light meter this functions well enough to support my vintage rangefinder camera. This app is great in that it looks and functions just like a real light meter. I'd definitely pay for this if only it fully supported my phone

Resets to ISO 100 after switching between apps. Very annoying to have to fiddle with changing the ISO when i just want to take a quick reading.
