A new way to take notes and jot down information.

    • Ideal for tablets
    • Smooth performance
    • Useful zoom feature
    • Poorly designed toolbar
    • Needs a swipe or scroll function
    • Should smooth out the pen stroke

"An Evolution In The World Of Note Taking"

Papyrus - Natural Note Taking redefines what a note app should do in the modern day. It allows you to take notes using a stylus or or your finger. You can also upload PDF files and import images. For an avid note taker or busy professional, there is a lot of functionality here.

Great for stylus use on tablets. The app itself performed smoothly, with quick load times, responsive controls, and seamless transitions between screens and menus. The zoom feature is also a useful touch. PDF files import quickly and smoothly.

There doesn't seem to be any pen stroke smoothing. Changing tools isn't as intuitive as it could be. The toolbar could use a fresh redesign. It would be nice to be able to swipe or scroll through pages rather than having to click on arrows.

Coming soon: We partnered with Google to bring incredibly fast, low-latency ink (currently in beta) to Squid on the Google Pixelbook and Samsung Chromebook Plus (with Chrome 62). See the difference:

Take handwritten notes naturally on your Android tablet, phone, or Chromebook supporting Android apps! With Squid you can write just like you would on paper using an active pen, passive stylus, or your finger.

Easily markup PDFs to fill out forms, edit/grade papers, or sign documents. Import images, draw shapes, and add typed text to your notes. Quickly select, copy/paste, and move content between pages and notes. Organize your notes within notebooks and increase your productivity!

Turn your device into a virtual whiteboard or give presentations in a class, meeting, or conference by wirelessly casting to a TV/projector (e.g. using Miracast, Chromecast). Export notes as PDFs or images, then share them with others or store them in the cloud!

Squid is vector based - keeping your notes beautiful at any zoom level and on any device. You can erase entire letters and words quickly with the stroke eraser tool, or just parts of words with the true eraser tool. The selection tool allows you to change the color and thickness of your handwriting and even resize a drawing whenever you want without any loss in quality.

Squid takes special advantage of active pens on capable devices to provide natural, pressure sensitive handwriting. Just write with the pen and erase with your finger!

Squid is designed to be both powerful and simple to use, allowing you to take notes quickly and efficiently.

Best note taking app for the S-pen. Allows you to completely ignore touch. Vector based with smooth inking. Keeps things simple. Missing sync. That is my only complaint.

Hands down the best writing and note taking app that I have come across on android. Use it with active pen on Samsung note tablet and it works great for my daily lecture and homework needs as a college student. Only thing missing is the ability to type. Otherwise, nearly perfect!
