    TFHurdleAnalysis application (Part of TF Series) provides analysis of an individual athlete’s hurdle performance for 50 M, 55 M, 60 M, Short, Long, and training capabilities for Track and Field. Depending on athlete age, 80 M race distance is provided as Short selection.

    It is compatible with and follows guidelines from USA Track and Field Coaching Manual. It can be used as a Personal Training aid.

    Application is used to analyze user supplied performance and training data. Training can then be adjusted based on analysis results. The process is then periodically repeated for best results.

    Adjustable parameters include Maximum Run Rate, Time Constant, Reaction Time, Max and Min Run Step Distances, and additional Rate Scales and Hurdle Clearance Delay parameters. Adjustments can provide proper steps to and between hurdles and meet goals of good hurdling rhythm and balance.

    Actual measured times to and between hurdles can also be used with the adjusted parameters to provide an accurate estimate of best performance. Distances to and from each hurdle are provided.

    Hurdle height and hurdle spacing are automatically selected based on the selected race distance, athlete’s gender, and athlete’s present age. Short and Long Hurdle distances are also automatically selected based athlete’s gender and present age.

    Sprint Analysis selection uses supplied athlete data and specified Run Distance times for calculations. Calculated values include 100 Meter Run Time, Max Run Rate, Time Constant, Forward Start Force, Run Velocity, Run Acceleration, and Run Steps. Specific values can be used to estimate speed and strength levels required.

    Application also provides estimates of athlete Maximum Run Velocity for specified environmental conditions. Input parameters include Selected Velocity and Athlete Weight. Adjustable environmental parameters include Parallel Wind Velocity, Temperature, Barometric Pressure, Altitude, and Relative Humidity. Results include Modified Velocity, typical 100 Meter Time, and Air Density.

    Application uses supplied athlete measurements to calculate Start block settings. Start Block Settings provides a foundation for a good race start. Values for each athlete can be edited and saved.

    Relay Analysis section provides simulation and analysis of a selected team’s performance for a selected race. Selections: 440 M, 400 M, and 320 M Shuttle Hurdle distances (Male and Female). Optimum selection of athletes and adjustment of parameters provide accurate estimate of best relay race performance.

    Individual independent Training Sessions are created using Create Sessions Menu. The following data is selected in sequence when Create Session is selected: Training Session, Athlete Name, Session Date, Training Season, Training Preparation(s), Training Phase(s), Training Event(s), and Event Types (Speed, Endurance, Distance, Strength, and Power).

    Each Training Session is partially initialized with representative data. Training Session data can then be added or edited after the athlete completes each Training Session. Training Sessions can be created, updated, or deleted using Training menu selections.

    Evaluation of Training results, with Training Session(s) data, provides event performance analysis and athlete fitness level estimates to help an athlete achieve peak performance. Start Day, End Day, and Training Season are first selected from the Evaluation Menu. Selection of Speed, Endurance, Strength, or Power provides detail and summary evaluation results.

    Sample training elements used to create training session(s) are provided. Elements provided include those for Sprint, Hurdle, Strength, and Power.

    Results and Training Sessions can be saved by entering a non-default (not Defaultxxx) Athlete Name.

    Email, print (with compatible device), or retrieval (with additional software) of results is also provided. Several additional software (such as Google Drive, etc.) are readily available.
