    WatchESPN's review

For sports fans, ESPN is one of the best live streaming apps around

    • High resolution
    • Split-screen watching
    • Non-regular programs
    • Compatibility limitations
    • Login always required
    • Repetitive adverts

"Catch Up On The Latest Sporting Action"

It may not be free to subscribe to ESPN, but if you already pay for it, this app is essential, as long as you have the right plan. NBA, Masters and Grand Slam action can all be found here: whatever your sport, you can enjoy it on the go.

The streaming quality is great, and there's a chance to watch games that might not be included on ESPN's regular channels. Split-screen view is a revelation, especially when combined with close captioning, and particularly impressive to see on a mobile device.

This app is not compatible with all TV and internet service providers, but the list is growing rapidly. Having to log in every time you start up a stream is a real pain. There only seem to be a small pool of adverts, so you'll be watching the same ones repeatedly even if tuning in for just an hour.

Good when it actually streams. Freezes up way too much

ESPN is aware that their app doesn't work, despite excellent internet speed, if a sporting event is in high demand. Admittedly, ESPN does not plan to do anything to remedy this problem. ESPN has clearly become a company that does not want to improve the quality of it's product. How very disappointing!

I'm a huge fan of the app. ESPN is basically the only channel I watch unless the game I'm looking for is on another network. This app gives me the power to watch sports everywhere I go. My only complaint is that connectivity can be an issue during very popular events like the College Football Playoff championship game. Their servers seem to struggle with the high demand from users.
