Ultimate Custom Widget allows users to create their own screen widgets

    • Fully customizable
    • Lots of tweakable attributes
    • Choose screen widget size
    • Download and share skins
    • Design
    • Needs a step-by-step tutorial on how to use it

    "Make your homescreen unique"

Unlike other platforms, Android is probably the most-customizable mobile OS. Screen widgets and Android are two concepts that match perfectly. Ultimate Custom Widget goes a step further on customization: it allows users to create their own screen widgets.

This isn't a widget editor with lots of presets and narrow margin to set it your way. This is the ultimate tool to create and edit custom widget totally at your whim. You can use custom layout, fonts, images, shapes, clocks, weather info, battery level, unread counters... anything. What you get is a blank sheet. It's up to you create the screen widget that you have in mind.

In addition, any of those objects has various attributes such as size, color, transparency, rotation, etc. The idea is: there isn't two identical people, so there won't be two identical custom screen widgets. Hotspots can be added to screen widget. Although no coding skills is needed, the app isn't the most intuitive ever made. A step by step tutorial would help getting the hang of it quickly. What's more, its sober interface (black background, classic buttons) makes it less usable. Thus, it should be more user-friendly by enhancing the app regarding design and tutorial.

One of Android’s greatest strength is customisation. UCCW takes this idea further to let you customise widgets on homescreen. Even without rooting your device or installing a custom ROM or installing a special launcher, you can do some incredible things to shape your phone to be just the way you want it. UCCW, or Ultimate Custom Widget, is a widget that lets you place custom clocks, battery meters, weather info, and just about anything else right on your homescreen. There is a sheer number of skins available on Google Play and shared in various forums, and more skins are being added all the time.

Customization is often a difficult process, but not with UCCW. Just install a skin, and tell UCCW to show it or make your own skin.

UCCW offers a WYSIWYG (What-you-see-is-what-you-get) editor allowing to customise layout, fonts, images, shapes, etc.

Widget objects - text, shapes, images, weather, graphic (progress), analog clock etc.
Text objects - calendar, weather, battery info, missed calls, sms, gmail, location, next calendar event, tasker variables
Graphical objects - barcode, bar, pie
Special objects - Week bar, Series clock
Text mapping to override text values
    Hotspots (actionable areas on widget)
    Share skins with one press
Ability to customize objects for size, color, tranparency, fonts etc.
