    AT&T FamilyMap uses a number of techniques to determine a phone's location. AT&T phones that have Assisted GPS (A-GPS) return the most accurate locations when they have a clear line of sight to GPS satellites. For phones where A-GPS is not available, FamilyMap uses cell tower information to provide the most accurate location possible, which is usually within a few hundred yards to a few miles of the phone's actual location. This includes non A-GPS phones, as well as A-GPS phones that are not in a clear line of sight to GPS satellites.

    Had it 2yrs on my phone and two of my kids phones really had no problems on s5 and s7 phone, but upgrade my son phone to a s8+ work for one day, now it's not accurate only a 10 block radius only, call support, basically tell me it's is what it's is. Smh

    It worked during the free 30 days. Then the app says that my account is on hold and suspended. I called 10 times to I.T. Nobody can fix it the last I T. Rep says he put a claim number and said someo e would call me. 1 week later. No call back yet. I got stiffed
