Barometrum is a simple yet fully functional barometer application that displays actual air pressure and plots the reading values in a graph.
You can use Barometrum to observe the different pressure readings at your current location. The readings provided will reflect even small changes in your current altitude as well as usual changes in the atmospheric air pressure anywhere you are.
Changes in the atmospheric air pressure tends to be very slow changing and subject to weather conditions. Since the weather is such a complex system the measurement of the air pressure alone is not enough to calculate your current altitude but it can be used to estimate altitude changes.
An optional GPS altimeter meter is available and can be enabled to be used as an reference to the air pressure readings and is also used in the Mean sea level mode where your current altitude is used to provide standardized readings.
The Mean sea level pressure mode is available on the properties menu and in contrast to the barometric pressure provides readings in the same format used by weather forecast.
Please note that this application requires a pressure sensor such as the one available on the Motorola XOOM tablet device to work. If you have a phone or tablet other than the XOOM that has an internal pressure sensor you should use the Barometrum HD instead.
