Find equivalences between colors of different paint brands used in model kits

    • Information directly from the manufacturers
    • Minimalist and effective
    • The colors, the colors!
    • None

    "Roy G. Biv would approve"

Although I know it's loads of fun to raid the paint strip section at Home Depot (the colors! the colors!), one major issue is managing to sort through them all to find equivalencies between the brands. If you use plenty of paint, you'll want a tool to help you compare shades beyond simply "periwinkle" - 27Pulgadas Androidesign's Hobby Color Converter takes the guesswork out of this task.

Select a brand of paint - the app includes Tamiya, Revell, Humbrol and Vallejo. From there, browse the color selection, either by scrolling through them manually or entering a search term. Tap any color to see the equivalencies across all other brands.

You can feel confident about the equivalences since the information is obtained directly from the manufacturers themselves.

The app includes a rudimentary metric-imperial converter as well.

27Pulgadas Androidesign's Hobby Color Converter is the ideal tool for this niche paint job.

Find colour equivalences between Tamiya, Revell, Humbrol, Vallejo, Gunze Sangyo, Citadel, Testors, AK Interactive, Ammo Mig and Federal Standard paints.

This application helps you to find equivalences between colours of different brand paints used in model kits, dioramas and historical or fantasy miniature painting. It also is useful as a complete colour chart.

Now you can mark paints you own so you can control your paint stock and also you can add paints to your own shopping list!!

Equivalences and colour images are obtained directly from the manufacturer and there are approximate.

Select a brand, select a colour reference and view a list of equivalences. You can use the on-screen keyboard to filter colour list.

Scale converter tool included for helping you to convert measures between different scales

Poor, but at least it was free. Works fine for the first colour I want to look up, after that it crashes whenever I try to do almost anything. If I restart the phone I get to look up one colour and then it crashes again. Most unstable app I have ever come across. I've also realised that it's slowing down everything else on my phone. What's running in the background? Have uninstalled the app and phone is back to normal.

Excellent, but Italeri is a glaring omission...

After spending ages trying to find a good conversion chart for some Japanese paint codes on a model I got as a gift, I stumbled on this app. Solved my problem completely when I had lost hope, and it has a phenomenal simple interface, and even some nice features in the app. Thank you very much.

I downloaded this app five minutes ago and I already think it's excellent. Recommended to any model maker.
