First off, this app requires root access. It won't work if your devices isn't rooted.
LBE Privacy Guard makes a list of all the apps installed in your device (as well as the system apps) and its permissions. Actually it divides the apps depending on the permissions they need to run. Thus, there are different categories of permissions: Expenses, PIM Access, Location Access, Phone ID, Internet Access. Most of the permissions that apps ask for, are included on these categories.
You can manage from each category, one-by-one or by batches, the permissions you want to accept or reject. Bear in mind that most of the apps need those permissions to work properly and if you reject them it will make it not work. However, there are some apps that ask for permissions that shouldn't be required for its correct performance: for example, access to send/read SMS for a Tetris Game. The purpose of this app is controlling this kind of permissions.
Basically what you can do is blocking malware and trojans, blocking suspicious network access, blocking access to IMEI and other ID phone info, check security log out. It includes pop-up notifications when an app tries to get access to a given feature of your Android that needs user permissions.
There's a settings tab from where you can set the way you want to block, be notified and automatize processes. The user-friendly interface and the good-looking layout, set in a red and white buttons grid.
LBE Privacy Guard has been developed by Lamian, an emerging developer. Although this is its first app on the Android Market, it will probably get remarkably success due to the increasing importance of the permissions issue.
