Slider Widget is a simple widget for adjust volume and brightness of your device

    • Good-looking widget
    • ICS-like layout
    • Ease of use
    • It should include more switches
    • Low-customizable

    "Just slide it!"

First off, remember that this isn't an app, but a widget: you have to launch it by long pressing home screen > widgets > slider widget. There's only one size widget, so it will appear automatically. What does this widget do? It is a 6-switches widget that allows you to control basic features of your phone: brigthness, ringtone volume, music volume, notifications volume, alarm volume and system volume. Thus, basically sound and brightness. The way that it works is quite interesting: just tap on the icon and it will appear a toggle bar. Select the level and tap out of the widget. That's it.

You can also access settings from the toggle bar (there's a small icon of a wrench). From settings you can enable/disable automatic brightness, indicator, notifications, vibration and widget behaviour. The widget is cute: black bacground and small icons with a circle bar that indicates the level. Settings layout looks like ICS.

In summary, an easy-to-use and good-looking widget to control brightness and volume of your device. Recommendable.

I've been using this for years, first time I used it was when the Nexus 5 came out in 2013 and all these years later I'm still using it. Android lacks on screen volume controls and it's baffling why this is the case, even iOS has a nice volume slider in the apple control centre, I currently have a OnePlus 5 and the volume buttons are tiny so having an on-screen option with this widget is ideal, and yes it works on Oreo

This is an example of what every app should aspire to be. It does exactly what it's supposed to, and no obnoxious ads. This should actually be standard on all devices. The developer hasn't updated it in almost a year and it still works great. That should tell you a lot about its stability. Unlike useless devs nowadays who have to release update after update to fix the bugs they keep creating. Anyone who gave this less than 5 stars is either someone who can never be pleased, or someone who isn't smart enough to figure out how to use the app. Case in point: Andrew Lea and Zay Inked. Ignore their reviews. They're simply wrong. All widgets are completely customizable to use any control you want, in any order. The app also doesn't reset to default when the phone is rebooted. Giving an app a bad rating because of your own user error and incompetence is simply ignorant. Ignore Md. Mahbub Hossain as well. He dinged it for the toggle function when the developer clearly stated that function is experimental, doesn't work well, and shouldn't be used unless absolutely necessary. Yet this genius complained about it. Steve Jankonzz simply can't figure out how to work it. This is what I'm talking about. People like this make it necessary to take an IQ test in order to obtain the privilege to post reviews.
