South Africa is a place of great beauty, divergent landscapes, incredible wildlife and an amazing array of activities in perfect sunshine year-round. It is one of the world's most popular hiking, extreme sports, and birding destinations. It has one of the world's eight great floral kingdoms and some of the last of the world's endangered species. Michael Kors says the best hotel in the world is here - in a wildlife reserve. Michael Jackson loved it, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie travel here often, so does Leonardo di Caprio.

South Africa inspired Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. You'll be surprised at how sophisticated the country and its people are. South Africans tend to be tolerant and friendly, with great self-deprecating humor.

As a business destination it is a leader in global telecommunications and medical science and has some of the world's greatest reserves of gold, chrome, diamonds, titanium and other important resources. And this is a nation mad about sport, hiking, eating out and drinking some of the world's best beer, wines and fruit juices.
