    Description

BE AWARE AND PROTECT YOURSELF FROM OVER-EXPOSURE TO SUN UV RADIATION IN AUSTRALIA !!

*** ATTENTION: This application is specific to Australia. In locations other than Australia it is made available merely for convenience of international users who work, study or visit Australia.

'OzSun UV' app fetches, consolidates and displays in a convenient colour-coded visual way the current actual real-time observed UV levels data available courtesy of Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) and the daily UV (aka 'SunSmart') alerts as issued to the public by Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) based on forecasts.

In addition, the app also provides shortcut links to relevant public web pages of these and other relevant agencies, where more information about UV levels for the user’s selected city can be found (accompanied by public education materials regarding sun UV exposure risks and protective measures).

The app uses the same international colour coding for UV index levels as established by the World health Organization (WHO) and adopted by the above mentioned Australian agencies as well.

Currently, the following 10 major Australian cities are catered for:

    ADELAIDE (SA)
    BRISBANE (QLD)
    CANBERRA (ACT)
    DARWIN (NT)
    KINGSTON (TAS)
    MELBOURNE (VIC)
    NEWCASTLE (NSW)
    PERTH (WA)
    SYDNEY (NSW)
    TOWNSVILLE (QLD)

(NOTE: it is expected that more cities will be available in the future)

Don't bother paying because it doesn't show the uv level.

Could not use it on either device - when installing it went straight to update - which failed. Tried contacting them but no answer after several days. Should be removed.

Not worth $1:10. No selection of area. Showing a 0. Rating when the sun stings after 10 mins in the sun.... SYD 0.6. Townsville further north 0.2!!?? I really doubt it!!!!

I have been using the app for a while, was really good to start with but over the past week getting "0" even at 12pm which is clearly inaccurate, is anyone doing anything about this? Update to my comment 3/10. When i emailed app support was told was The ARPANSA data feed was not working for adelaide, but the cancer council sunsmart app is now working for adelaide again but this app still not w

Not available in my area, in fact the whole of Tasmania is missing which is unfortunate because we have the highest U V levels in AUS because we have less ozone above us.
