    EPOCH's review

An action game set after the apocalypse

    • High replayability
    • Outstanding controls
    • Devilish AI
    • No lite or trial version
    • Animations can feel awkward

    "Bruter, rawer, epoch-maker"

Action games aren't been the most popular genre on mobile devices because it's hard to find a way to reproduce the mouse plus keyboard control combo that PCs can brag about, or the ten buttons controllers consoles have. That's why when someone as Uppercut Games releases an action game playable on screen, they deserve all the merit. Beside all the robopocalyptic and mechgameddon stuff, this games is a move, cover and shoot game, much in the like of old school Cabal arcade (relatively speaking) or more modern Mass Effect Infiltrator. Anyway, we must insist in how awesome controls are, so intuitive and smooth at the same time. You can actually enjoy the game and hatch strategies instead of wrestling with dual on-screen joysticks or any other devil's invention.

Graphics and animations are good, though realism left away and robots can do aerial cartwheels and somersaults and not always give the impression of weighing a ton or two as they look like. On the other hand, AI is better than awesome, and gives this game one of the highest replayability ratings ever, even when there are only a ten or so levels.

In conclusion, it could be longer and more epic, but it's one of the best action games for mobile devices so far. Absolutely enjoyable and we hope it begins a new era for action games on mobile devices.
