Dawn of the Plow
by: Trichotomy Games • 71
Some of we, Southerners, had to experience the latest Polar Vortex to realize how important a plow is to guarantee that people's lives go on. Maybe that's what inspired Dan FitzGerald (Trichotomy Games) to develop this groundbreaking arcade game.
In Dawn of the Plow you embody the city's plow (Mr. Plow or Plow King? Your choice!). It's snowing roughly in that floating platform which stands for the neighborhood your are responsible for. You must drive the plow over snow blocks in order to clear the road, throw salt to gain some time and collect some other power-ups that will ease your work.
Of course, neither can you crash any cars nor make them wait until they freeze. It won't be easy to achieve though. First, because the game's odd control scheme makes driving the plow machine accurately way more difficult. Second, because the snowing pace and the traffic will increase gradually.
As you progress you will be unlocking achievements based on your performance. Likewise, your stats will be tracked and you will be able to submit your scores on online leaderboards and challenge players from around the world to beat your records.
Do you like pixelated retro graphics? Dawn of the Plow takes that a step further. Controls could be more intuitive and responsive though.
Regardless, Dawn of the Plow is an extremely original and addictive arcade title you will enjoy to the fullest.
