A platformer about timing and deadly traps

    • Great graphics and sound
    • Easy to learn gameplay
    • Free, with non abusive in-app purchases
    • It needs more of everything

    "This will hurt for sure"

"This Could Hurt", besides having one of the most titles for a game ever, is a sort of ninja training puzzle game in which you have to survive every stage full of spiked balls, filthy traps, conveyor belts, flamethrowers, saws, pits and so. It's a race against time, so the faster you achieve the goal the better your score.

However, don't expect too much control over your character. He automatically moves toward a certain death, and you can only tap to come him to a sudden stop; and tap again to resume his path. It's all about timing. You can buy power-ups from the shop, but they only last once, so if you get stuck over you'll have to put real money on the table if you have run out of in-game currency.

Graphics and animations are stunning even on middle-end devices, soundtrack is enjoyable and here's fun for hours. It's enjoyable by anyone from children to oldies, and it's only flaw is that it may not feel like it's enough, and a missing chance to create a truly masterpiece. We can always dream with level editors, customizable characters and somehow shareable time trials, but we'll have to be content with what we've given.

You are an Oakguard apprentice. One day you’ll be a fully fledged Oakguard, charged with protecting the Great Oak—the tree that gives life and power to your village. But first you must survive the Path of Pain.

Put your life on the line in this beautifully designed puzzle compendium of potential pain; dodging intricately insane booby traps, navigating dangerous heights, and testing your timing to terminal intensities.

    **Runs beautifully on tablets**

Avoid spinning blades, pitfalls, giant mallets and more in this unique puzzle-packed adventure. Guide your character with one-touch controls, choosing the perfect time to stop or go.

This Could Hurt features four worlds, each with 10 challenging levels. Environments change as the game progresses: careful you don't slip on the Ice World, or burn up in the Lava World.

Each level is a beautiful 3D maze filled with death-traps that you must climb, run, jump and occasionally fly through to get to the end intact!

Collect the golden Acorns hidden throughout the world to unlock a variety of achievements and power-ups from shields to health and speed boosts.

A game that you kind of have to be a few steps ahead. It's not easy and you have to work at it. Nice to be able to keep trying from the same level. A+ in my book ;)
