    War Card's review

A "closed deck" fantasy card game

    • Balanced mechanics
    • Campaign mode
    • Graphics could be improved
    • Some freezing issues

    "Like a card castle"

War Card is a card game as its own title implies, but it is not a collectible or trading card game. Decks already come predefined, so you'll have to manage and deal with those cards you draw. Some cards physically attack your enemy or harm him otherwise, while others add resources or are spells. Everything is quite self-explanatory: a soldiers card invokes soldiers (who disappear when your turn ends) and meteor strike card summons a meteor rain so usual this time of the year.

Game is divided in a series of battles making up a campaign. There's a (very) brief tutorial first, but then you'll be on your own. Although it's challenging, difficulty won't make you nuts unless you start pointlessly losing turns and stop paying attention.

Graphics and animations are very simple, which is a pity because this game would have been really great if the graphical environment were better. Anyway, it's face value is lower than its inner gears and balanced gameplay, as this is a game really enjoyable and can be a good smart time waster for any card game or strategy lover.

War Card is a strategy card game, you have to use your card to build and defend your castle from the enemy attack, and also use the card to attack the enemy. Every card require some resources, so your skill to manage the resources is vital.Keep taking over castles from enemy army and updating your technologies.

    Enjoy it!
