Edge of the World

    An original shuffleboard game

    • Pirates!
    • Good design and game tweaks
    • It could have far more stuff
    • More game modes would have been welcomed

"Wind's at our side, full ahead!"

It was long thought that world ended wherever the map did, this is, that there was a cliff where seas and ships fell into an endless chasm (where a giant turtle dwelled, if you follow Terry Pratchett teachings). This premise serves as an original setting for Edge of the World, which is nothing less than a shuffleboard game with some tweaks. First off, it's about pirates, who we all know that are the next step in ninjas' evolution. Secondly, because ships have abilities and some customization, just to make it all more interesting.

Lastly, because you can play multiplayer, so here we have an online physics game perfectly suited for casual gaming and players of all ages. The freemium nature of this game might unbalance games a little bit in favor of those players swift to pull their wallets out.

Recommended. It isn't as original as it could be and it could have far more stuff because it eventually gets repetitive, but it's a good casual game and a glad surprise among the seven oceans of apps we plough through everyday.
