    Fantasy Defense 2's review

    Sequel to Fantasy Defense

    • Easy yet thrilling gameplay
    • Good manga-like artwork
    • Storyline
    • It could have a deeper gameplay
    • Few available units

    "Defend the undefendable"

Sequel to Fantasy Defense, Fantasy Defense is a "closed" (it means "tiled", "board-like", you name it) defense game in which you have to place your towers ("heroes" in this case) all along a given path to fend off incoming hordes of enemies. You earn "soul points" for every enemy beaten, which can be spent to upgrade the already placed units, summon new ones or make use of special skills.

It isn't as complicated as other latest generation games, and more oriented to micromanagement rather than building. If in Fantasy Defense one you were able to place twenty ice sorceress in line, here the limited amount of free tiles and the intrinsic nature of units means everything is more focused to a wise usage of upgrades and skills rather than sheer force of numbers.

Manga-like artwork is nice, and although it hasn't surprised us so much as the first one did, it's a very good defense game suited for already defense gamers and casual players alike.
