Jigty Jigsaw Puzzles

It's neat to watch the app world expand to replicate the experience of playing tangible real-world games. For me, spending time with a jigsaw puzzle means languid afternoons on the beach daintily slurping at margaritas, with nothing more pressing on my mind than locating that final edge piece. Jigty Jigsaw Puzzles brings that experience to the palm of your hand, minus the sand and the sipping.

Select your puzzle from the database of free images, which is limited to a handful of samples plus a few ads for other Outfit7 games. Use the slider to determine how many pieces you'd like to wrangle with this time, ranging from a mere four (why bother?) up to 64. If you're a true jigsaw masochist, a premium upgrade will let you increase the pieces to 144, as well as allow the pieces to rotate out of proper alignment.

Once you've set up your puzzle, you're good to go. Drag the pieces into the corresponding location on the board and they'll snap and lock into place. The app will record how long it takes you to complete each image, although the number's just for fun since there's no competition.

If you're a puzzle fan, Outfit7's Jigty Jigsaw Puzzles could be an excellent download. You'll have to pay to gain access to a significant number of the puzzles as well as to the extra configuration options, but that might be worth it if you're attempting to recreate that languorous beachside experience.
