Choose correct word: increase in difficulty and earn rewards.
What are Sight Words?
The English language is not as straight forward as it seems to us who are fluent in English. Many words are learned through simple disciplinary repetition, not piecing letters together logically like they should fit.
Ground “should” be spelled as “grownd”
Picture “should” be spelled “pikshur”
Sight words are words that fit this illogical spelling approach. Sight Words Touch Game for Kids uses the Dolch word list, including nouns, totaling over 300 words! According to Dolch research, these words make up 50-70% of the words in childrens textbooks!! You can see how beneficial it will be for anyone who has knowledge of these 300+ words as they enter the world of spelling and reading.
Why Sight Words?
The more children are exposed to English words, both logical and illogical spelling profiles, the easier they grasp the visual aspect of the English language as a whole. This will make it easier for children when they enter the educational system, whether home or public schooled, giving them a tremendous jumpstart on spelling and reading!
For and Four
To and Two
This game does not provide an exhaustive training on synonyms, but rather just a means of demonstrating to the child that there are words that sound identical but are spelled differently. Take for instance the title of this game. "Sight" "cite" and "site.
Builds confidence in children with understanding common words to help them better learn more complex words
Phonics reading is a good tool but not useful for sight words. Having your kids learn sight words assists in helping children decipher differences between words that fit into normal phonetic rules and those that don’t.
Contextual reading is imperative to learning new words. We do it all the time without even realizing it. The more words in a sentence a child knows, the easier and quicker he/she understands the words he/she does not know. Knowing sight words will give children a deeper comprehension in just about every sentence in any given children’s literature.

Seems nice at the start, but in the learn section they only teach a few words! Not sure I am happy with this app, the learning section only teaches a few words. They should not only say the word, but should spell it as well. Keeps freezing and getting.stuck.
