    Wake the Cat's review

    Published: 2013-10-22, by Peter Warrior.

    A surprising puzzle game

    • Great and colorful 3D graphics
    • Smart puzzles
    • Low replayability
    • Lack of a level editor

    "Cute cat wakes up"

Wake the Cat is the last in a long lineage of Incredible Machine-like games in which our goal is to get the wool ball or whatever wake the lovely kitten that means the end of the stage. In order to do so, every level is a puzzle on its own, full of great physics based on everyday items and places.

Everything's packed up in great 3D angled graphics, showing that the developer has paid huge attention to details and overall design. There are nearly one hundred levels, and we wonder why there hasn't been a lite version containing the first ones and an option to unlock the rest later.

This high quality game can be enjoyed by children and grown-ups alike. If you are into puzzle gaming, it's a must have, though it gives in to the usual flaws of the genre: lack of a level editor and no customization options, thus conlcuding a low replayability if you ever end all the stages.
