    Joe Dever's Lone Wolf's review

    An epic adventure in Magnamund

    • No previous experience required
    • Outstanding graphics and user interface
    • Innovative and varied gameplay
    • Music and voice-overs
    • Well, you know, you have to pay for it. No lite or trial version available, each chapter is purchased separately.

"You are Lone Wolf, the last of the Kai Lords"

Joe Dever's Lone Wolf deserved, for God's sake, a last generation adventure game for mobile devices. And it had to be as disruptive as Lone Wolf gamebooks were in the eighties, even when a classic stealth game would have been great though.

Therefore, behold this masterpiece of gaming, gathering the best of puzzle gaming (assorted minigames to reflect pick locking and other actions), a radiant and innovative fighting gameplay and a lot of little details that old and new Lone Wolf fans will adore, such a Magnamund Codex we unlock as we advance and discover new monsters and places.

Graphics and animations are top notch, both in gameplay with beautiful 3D rendered scenery and characters, and when story advances through gorgeous Indian ink hand-drawn illustrations. Just to start with, the animated menus are second to none. Furthermore, gameplay is innovative in several areas, both when fighting or solving puzzles, and the choice-your-own-adventure feeling has been carefully preserved to ensure a great replayability.

On the other hand, a little user interface issue (devs, please, 'back' hardware button means 'back', not 'quit') and some unnerving loading times here and there. We would also have liked there were even more content.

Just a last word. Will there be a day when we can enjoy a Lone Wolf multiplayer game?

Anyway, recommended for everyone, the larger the screen you have the better.
