Open-ended exploration of a 3D underwater world via submarine

    • Neat idea
    • Lacks objectives and elements to interact with
    • Clunky controls

"We all live in a... oh, never mind"

Ever wanted to see what lurks beneath the ocean's glossy surface? Cyclops Games Submarine Simulator 3D lets you dive into an underwater realm in an open-ended exploration via your very own sub.

Use the on-screen buttons to steer and propel your craft - it's a little clunky at first, but that also might just be the nature of captaining a sausage-shaped object. The game's entirely open ended, so don't expect any enemies to come snatch you from out the deep. Rather, focus on the tranquility of exploring a silent, peaceful underwater world. If you've got the patience to find it, you'll even come across a shipwreck or two.

The idea is neat for sure, but the execution lacks finesse and complexity. If there were more to interact with or perhaps something to collect - or even tangible locations to discover - the app would have much more replay value.

Cyclops Games Submarine Simulator 3D is fun for a few minutes if you've always wanted to be the captain of a sub.
