Street Pool merges pool and Arkanoid genres to introduce an original gameplay

    • Original gameplay
    • 2 systems of achievements
    • 2 control systems
    • Graphics
    • Needs more game modes

I like fusion if the outcome is worth. Pool and Arkanoid gameplay can seem a bizarre combination. However, the result is quite. If you don't believe me, give a go to Street Pool.

It's basically a pool game: the goal is to bring the color balls to any of the four holes by pushing them with the white ball. However, pool borders are Arkanoid-style bricks: if you touch them, they'll pop and, if a ball passes through, it will fall. Obviously, if a ball falls, game is over.

However, you shouldn't avoid those glass bricks since breaking them score additional points. Try to break all of them and bring color balls until their pockets in the fewest moves possible (more moves, less core). Each level will add a new ball or a handicap that will make it more difficult to beat.

There are up to 20 levels and 9 different types of balls as well as 2 system of achievements: gold metals and gold bricks. Graphics aren't stunning, although it doesn't matter since game is highly playable. I'm missing though different game modes. Despite of that, good game.
