    Great Big War Game's review

    Published: 2013-05-06, by Peter Warrior.

A greater turn-based game than its more little predecessor

    • Asynchronous multiplayer
    • Fun yet deep gameplay
    • Beautiful animations
    • Long solo campaign
    • Overall, no complaints

GBWG is a smart and fun strategy turn based game, similar to Worms if you want to see it that way, though it'd be better to call it something closer to old tactics game. On a board (or tiled map) you have to move your units, take over strategic points and wipe out your enemies. Don't let you fool by the lovely cartoon characters, it's a game deeper than it may first look like and gives raise to complex strategies and long-term planning. Like if it were a chess game, you'll have to learn how to move the pieces first, but there's much more later.

User Interface is quite comfy, at least in a huge tablet, and it's fun to enjoy the little slices of humor Rubicon has left here and there. This complete version comes with 50 levels and all the features, becoming one of the sure bets of the season, unless you want to check the lite version first.

Brilliant single player, turn-based strategy game for beginner to mid, and the pvp will give experienced gamers inexhaustible opportunities to enjoy testing out new strategy and tactics.
