Training is an important part of a company’s food safety program. This training App is brought to you by the American Mushroom Institute (AMI) and focuses on the different activities that employees need to follow to help prevent the intentional contamination of mushrooms on the farm and in the packinghouse. Security cameras, locks and employee IDs are all useful preventive measures against the intentional contamination of mushrooms. The best defense to prevent intentional contamination is the people who work in the company since they are the company’s eyes and ears. They need to be trained on how to identify and report suspicious behaviors or individuals to protect mushrooms from intentional contamination.
Each AMI Food Safety Training App includes interactive activities, videos and quizzes to ensure employees are engaged throughout the course. At the end of each App, there is a multiple choice quiz or an activity to verify the employee has properly learned the information presented in the App.
Other AMI Training Apps include:
• The ABCs of Food Safety
