Bergin-IT's Gizmoot wants to make your life easier by providing a straightforward way to connect and control all the media devices on your home WiFi network.
Gizmoot allows you to play media located either on your mobile device, UPnP AV/DLNA media server or the Internet to the compatible screen of your whim. Thus, you can play, for example, a video located on your smartphone in your DLNA compatible TV and still control it from your smartphone.
Do you want to show your photos in your smartphone's gallery to your friends? Slideshow them on your TV. Do you feel like listening to music located on your tablet while cooking? Use Gizmoot app to play them on your uPnP/DLNA speakers. You can shuffle, pause, stop and play next/previous song from Gizmoot playing controls.
It works the other way too: media file located on your media server (let's say, your desktop computer or laptop) can be played on your smartphone and tablet.
Gizmoot automatically detects the compatible devices connected to your network.
The only thing I'm missing is a first-launch tutorial that explains step by step how the app works. A design revamping would make it more appealing too.

Gizmoot turns your smart phone or tablet into a remote control for playing music, movies, photos, podcasts and internet radio over your home WiFi network.
Browse or search media on your smart phone/tablet, media servers or from the internet and then play them on connected TVs, network speakers or on the Gizmoot player.
Gizmoot can browse and play media on other devices running Gizmoot.
Gizmoot will automatically find the DLNA/UPnP AV media servers and players attached to your WiFi network. Media servers will appear in the browse screen and players will appear in the list shown when a media file is chosen to be played.
Internet services such as SoundCloud and Flickr can be used within Gizmoot. A wide selection of RSS feeds can be browsed and played.
Other features include play queue, favourites, recently played, loop, shuffle and slideshows.
Gizmoot has been tested against the following DLNA/UPnP AV devices: Mede8er, LaCie LaCinema, XBMC, BroadLink MS1, EZCast, iPush, ROCKI, Philips HMP5000 and A5, Pioneer XW-SMA3, WD TV Live, Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Roku.
